A number of years back, in a flash, I understood this was the underlying energy behind the swirling I was experiencing—not quite sure what was next, not feeling completely compelled one way or another. For someone long-guided by the motto, If it’s not a f*ck “yes”, it’s a “no”, the lack of inspiration, direction, and excitement had me in a tailspin. ![]()

Until I began to more fully understand: I contain multitudes. And, that this had evidenced itself in a life path full of deep dives—into science, and art, and wilderness, and spirituality. Each of these explorations had brought new experiences, learnings, communities, and growth, and had contributed meaningfully to who I am today. At the same time, these worlds didn’t always align or even overlap, and I hadn’t integrated these many facets of me into cohesive whole. ![]()
